Extension ladders are checked at regular intervals to ensure they are in a safe working condition. Step ladders, tested for stability and safe condition of use. A trained person will erect all access towers and all access platforms operated by a trained engineer. Where necessary, all windows, doors and pathways will be secured so as to prevent accidental snagging of the access equipment. All fire escape routes will be left clear as far as possible and if if it is necessary to block a walkway or exit then this will be done with the consent of the owner, manager or site foreman.

Where fixing to steel we will use self-tapped screws, Tec bolts or nut & bolt fixings. All fixings will be hidden where possible and painted out where the correct paint is supplied. We will not install any signage where a secure and suitably strong fixing is not obtained.
